I was completely wrong about The Blackwell Ghost series

I put off watching those Blackwell Ghost movies for like 2 years because I figured they were just another cheap knockoff of Paranormal Activity. Then last month I had nothing to watch and gave the first one a shot at 2am. By the time I got to the third movie I was actually checking my closet before bed. The thing that sold me was how the filmmaker kept finding those old newspapers with real names and dates from the actual murders. Has anyone else had a found footage series they dismissed and then totally changed their mind on?

Nah, I still think they're just Paranormal Activity with worse acting.

Oh man, @xena_rivera63 I gotta hard disagree here, I was the exact same way about Hell House LLC. I figured it was gonna be some dumb low budget thing with bad scares, but by the time they showed that clown just standing in the corner I was literally yelling at my tv. The Blackwell Ghost series got me too though, that part in the fourth one where he finds the hidden room in the basement? I had to pause and turn all my lights on. The newspaper thing is what got me hooked too, it felt like real digging not just a script.
