My grandma's old recipe for Polish pierogi dough was a total mess until my cousin in Krakow called me out
She told me I was using way too much flour, like a full cup more than needed, and that's why my dough kept cracking. I switched to her exact method, which is just 2 cups of flour, 1 egg, and some warm water, and it rolls out perfectly now. Has anyone else had a family recipe that was just slightly wrong for years?
