Trust me, the little things matter. Letting dough rest or using cold butter makes all the difference, lol.

Oh man, I had the same thing with my mom's pancake recipe. The online one I tried was flat and boring, just bland. Hers uses buttermilk and a pinch of baking soda, and you let the batter sit for five minutes. The difference is crazy, like fluffy clouds versus cardboard. Grandma recipes just have a feel to them that a website never gets right.

Lol come on, it's just biscuits. How different can they really be? Flour, butter, milk... it's not like your grandma had some secret space-age ingredient. Those online recipes are tested a million times, they're probably fine.
