Found my grandma's recipe box and had to pick between two versions of her pierogi dough
One card was her usual recipe, but the other was a note from a neighbor in their old Chicago neighborhood, calling for a full cup of sour cream and an extra egg yolk. I went with the neighbor's version, and the dough was way more tender (though a bit sticky to roll). Has anyone else found a family recipe with a weird, better variation scribbled on the back?

A whole cup of sour cream did sound crazy to me too. Then I tried it and now I get it.
