Rant: I bought a fancy floral foam that was a total waste of $80

I saw this new 'eco-friendly' foam at a trade show in Denver last month and the sales guy swore it held water better. I bought a whole case for a big wedding arch job. The stuff crumbled as soon as I pushed stems in, and half the flowers wilted before the ceremony even started. Had to do an emergency rework with my old foam and lost the whole morning. Has anyone found a decent alternative that actually works?

Had the same thing happen with a brand called GreenHold last year... total mess. I switched back to Oasis and just soak it longer now, like 20 minutes instead of 10. The extra time makes a big difference for how firm it sets up.

Honestly that 20 minute soak is a total game changer.

Respectfully, shorter soak works fine for me if you rinse it first.
