I keep seeing other shops in town use way too much baby's breath in arrangements, like it's 1995 all over again.
My mentor at the old shop in Tacoma always said a single sprig does the work of ten, and after seeing a $150 bouquet that was basically a cloud of it last week, I'm convinced she was right.

That "cloud of it" look reminds me of my cousin's wedding. She wanted her bouquet to be "mostly baby's breath" because it was cheap. It looked like she was holding a ball of dryer lint in all the photos. The marriage lasted longer than the trend, at least.

But if the customer likes it, who cares? It's just flowers.

Ugh, I read a whole thing about how trends like that are pushed to sell cheap flowers for a lot of money. It's not really about what the customer likes, it's about making them like what's profitable. Feels kinda sneaky when you see it that way.
