Heard a customer in my shop say they'd never buy roses again

A woman was telling her friend in my store last week that she got roses from a big chain and they wilted in two days. She said she's done with them for good. It made me think about how one bad bunch can turn someone off a whole flower. How do you guys make sure new customers have a good first time, especially with tricky flowers like roses? Do you give them a care card or something?

Ever tried a quick demo on how to trim the stems and change the water?

Roses are tough flowers if you know how to handle them." I mean, is it really that deep? It's a flower, not a math test. You cut the stems, you put them in water, you change the water when it gets gross. That's it. We're acting like these things require a degree in horticulture. A demo seems like overkill for something that should be common sense, honestly.

Roses are tough flowers if you know how to handle them. The problem is usually the water, not the flower itself. A care card is good, but showing someone how to do it right is better.
