Vent: I dropped $400 on a fancy moisture meter and it was a waste
Everyone says you need the top end model with all the bells and whistles. I got the ProPin 9000 for a big glue down job on a concrete slab. Thing gave me wild readings all over the place, said the slab was both too wet and too dry in spots two feet apart. Ended up trusting my old calcium chloride test kit anyway, which said we were good. So I'm out four hundred bucks for a paperweight. Anyone have a simple meter that actually works right?

Wait, the ProPin 9000? That's the one all the pros on here swear by... I can't believe it gave you readings that were all over the map like that. Four hundred bucks for something that can't even beat a simple test kit is just insane.

Nah that's rough, but honestly not surprising. I've had fancy gear crap out on me before too. Sometimes the old school test kits just work better and don't lie to your face lol.
