Update: My whole crew got the same stomach bug on a big vinyl plank job in Denver

We were supposed to finish a 2,500 square foot install in three days, but by noon on day two, three of us were out sick. I had to finish the last 800 square feet alone, laying planks while running to the client's bathroom every hour. Has anyone else had a job completely derailed by illness?

Ever finish a job solo while sick? That sounds brutal. Hope you got paid extra for that.

Yeah, that's the worst feeling... pushing through the fog just to get it done. Did a full day with a fever once and it was pure misery. Honestly felt like I earned double just for showing up.

Last winter I had a 102 fever and still had to finish a roofing estimate for a client in Brentwood. My head was pounding so bad I could barely read the tape measure numbers... just kept chugging water and forcing myself to focus. Took me twice as long as it should have. Felt like my brain was full of wet cotton the whole time. Definitely one of those days where just being upright felt like a huge win.
