Rant: That guy at the flea market who said my vintage Pyrex was 'just old dishes'
Some dude walked by my booth and scoffed that nobody actually uses those old bowls anymore, but I've been baking with my grandma's set for 10 years and they heat way more even than my new stuff. Anyone else get annoyed when people write off perfectly good flea market finds because they don't look modern?

Hold on, I gotta push back here. Modern dishes heat more even? That's not my experience at all. I bought a fancy new casserole dish last year and it scorched the edges while the middle was still cold. My mom's old Corningware from the 70s? Never had that problem. Plus those vintage Pyrex patterns are way harder to break than the thin stuff they sell now. People just want their kitchen to look like a magazine cover instead of actually working well.

Wait, your mom's Corningware from the 70s is still working fine? That stuff must be indestructible. I'm half surprised it didn't outlast the microwave it was made for.
