Thought slick tires were overhyped until I took my fixie through a rainstorm downtown
Slid sideways through an intersection on my old knobbies, swapped to some cheap 28mm slicks for $25, and now I actually trust my bike when the streets get wet so has anyone else had that moment where a simple swap made you feel like a liar?

Holy cow, you went through an intersection sideways! That's wild. I would have been terrified. It's crazy how much difference a simple tire swap makes, right? I had the exact same thing happen to me on my commuter bike. Switched from these knobby mountain bike tires to some smooth 32s and I felt like I was riding on a whole new bike in the rain.
