My dad told me to use a dab of super glue on a stripped screw, and it actually worked
I was trying to fix a loose hinge on my kitchen cabinet in my apartment, and the screw just kept spinning. He said to put a tiny bit of glue in the hole, let it get tacky, then put the screw back in. I waited about 10 minutes and it held tight. Has anyone else had a simple fix like this work when you thought it was a lost cause?

Seriously, ruined it? It's a kitchen cabinet hinge in a rental, not a museum piece. The fix gets the door closed today, and that's what matters. Who even plans to remove that specific screw again?

Honestly that's a terrible idea long term. You just made that screw permanent and ruined the threads.
