Spent $40 on a new airlock for my sauerkraut and it's still bubbling over

I thought a fancy three-piece airlock would fix my mess problem, but the kraut is just too active. It's been a week and I'm still wiping brine off the counter every morning. Anyone have a good trick for a really vigorous ferment?

So you spent forty bucks to avoid a mess and it's still a mess? Sounds like your kraut didn't get the memo about the fancy gear. Maybe @sethadams is onto something with the simple bowl idea, because sometimes the old ways are just smarter. You're basically paying for a fancy straw while the drink is flooding the table. At this point, you might as well just put the whole jar in a big mixing bowl and call it a day.
