I finally stopped rushing through site checks after a close call.
I used to skip detailed checks for underground lines to save time on small fence jobs. Hitting a water main last week showed me how big a mistake that was. How do you balance being quick with being safe during site prep?

Yeah, my old boss always said the call to get utilities marked is free, but hitting one never is. Made me stick to the full checklist even on quick jobs, honestly.
