TIL synthetic fabrics shed microplastics way worse than natural ones
My jacket from a cheap store in Phoenix fell apart after 3 washes and I looked into it - turns out polyester blends just break down faster than wool or cotton. Anyone else switch to natural fibers after seeing how fast synthetic stuff wears out?

My 30 dollar fleece from Target started pilling after like 2 washes, turned into a fuzzy mess within a month. I switched to a wool hoodie from a thrift store and that thing is still going strong after 2 years, no pills or holes. The synthetic stuff just can't hold up, it's crazy how fast it falls apart compared to natural fibers. Plus I don't have to worry about all those tiny plastic bits going down the drain every time I do laundry.

My Target fleece did the same thing.
