I was trying to make a corset top from a thrifted leather jacket and accidentally found a way to make boning channels without sewing.

Okay the "boning channels without sewing" thing got me curious. I had a similar problem with a vinyl skirt last year. What worked for me was using heat-bonding tape made for leather, the kind you iron on. I cut strips, folded the leather over them, and hit it with a low heat press. It held up way better than I expected, like the channels stayed stiff but could still bend. Just make sure your iron isn't too hot or it'll mess up the finish.

Heat-bonding tape is such a good idea for tricky materials. I've had a few projects where sewing just wasn't an option, and that sounds like a solid fix. Might have to try that next time.

Heat bonding tape, huh? Who knew you could just iron your problems away?
