I spent $300 on a fancy fabric cutter and it just sits in my closet
I mean, I bought this digital fabric cutter last year thinking it would speed up my pattern work. It was supposed to be a big help for making clean, repeatable shapes. But the software is a pain to learn and it takes longer to set up than to just cut by hand for my small projects. Now it's just collecting dust and I feel pretty dumb for the cost. Has anyone else bought a tool that ended up being more trouble than it was worth?

Feel your pain, I bought a fancy bread machine that basically just makes expensive countertop decor. Sometimes the dream of a shortcut is way better than the reality of the setup. You're not alone in the closet of good intentions.

Oh man, @the_michael is right about that kitchen gadget graveyard, I've got one too. I bought a top of the line espresso machine thinking I'd save money on coffee shop runs. But between the dialing in, the cleaning, and the constant adjustments, I ended up just going back to my old French press. The thing takes up half my counter and I maybe use it once a month now. It's like I paid good money to feel bad about wasting money every time I look at it. At least your cutter can go in a closet, mine sits there judging me every morning while I make my instant coffee.
