Tried a diamond shoe on a chronic quarter crack horse and got 8 weeks of wear instead of my usual 4

I was skeptical because they cost me $65 each, but the owner insisted after her old farrier recommended it. The crack actually grew out cleaner than with my standard steel shoes. Has anyone else seen results holding up with diamond shoes on problem feet?

$65 a shoe" is steep and I see where @campbell.robin is coming from, but I've seen those diamond shoes hold up way better on bad feet than anything steel. Not sold on the price being worth it for every horse though.
