Spent $80 on a magnetic hoof pick and it saved my back in one week

I was skeptical but bought one of those magnetic hoof picks that clips to your belt. Cost me $80 at a supply shop outside Louisville. Stuck it to my leg and went to work on a big trim day, 8 horses in one morning. I dropped it twice in mud and found it both times by feeling around blind. Beats bending over for a lost pick every 15 minutes. Anyone else try these or am I just getting old?

And I felt the exact same way until I caved and bought one last month! I was dead set against spending that kind of money on a pick, but my lower back was screaming at me after every trim. Now I can't believe I waited so long. I dropped mine in a pile of shavings and found it in about ten seconds flat, which would have been a five minute crawl-around with a regular pick. It's honestly one of those things where you hate the price but love the result so much you forget about the cost.
