Just realized I was wrong about trimming for a foundered pony

Talked to a vet at the state fair who said I was being too aggressive with the toe. She told me, 'Let the sole callus tell you where to stop.' Tried it on a Shetland last month and the improvement was immediate. Anyone else shift their approach for laminitis cases?

Let the sole callus tell you" made me remember a farrier who said something similar about thrush.
