Just read that a draft horse hoof wall can grow over an inch a month, which seems way too fast

Found that in an old university extension bulletin from Kentucky, and it makes me question a lot of standard trimming schedules. Has anyone actually measured growth rates on their bigger clients?

That's wild but honestly tracks with how often things need adjusting. Seems like a lot of standard schedules are just guesses that got repeated. Makes you wonder what else we're all doing on autopilot.

Honestly people get way too wound up about this stuff.

My dentist still uses the 6-month rule.
