I was trimming a hoof way too short for years and never knew

An old timer at the Kentucky show watched me work and just said, 'You're taking too much off the toe, it's making them sore.' I started leaving a bit more length and the next week, a client said her horse was moving better. Anyone else get called out on a basic habit they didn't even notice?

ngl that's a bold move but honestly respect for just going for it. most people talk a big game but never actually follow through. hope it worked out better than my disaster lmao. sometimes you just gotta learn the hard way though.
