PSA: That classic family stuffing recipe is way too salty
My whole family swears by my grandma's stuffing recipe for holidays. They talk about how it's the best part of the meal. I made it myself this past Thanksgiving, following her old card. It came out so salty it was almost inedible. I realized she used a broth that's much saltier than what we buy now. When I mentioned toning it down, my cousin said it wouldn't be the same without that taste. But I made a batch with low sodium broth and it tasted fine, actually better. Sometimes traditions need a tweak when ingredients change, and that's okay.
