My $40 cast iron skillet was a total game changer for my grandma's cornbread
I always used a regular baking dish. The bottom never got that perfect crispy crust. Saw a video about cast iron and decided to try it. The cornbread came out exactly like hers. Anyone else have a simple tool that fixed a family recipe?

Right, the whole point. Tell that to my roommate who insists on microwaving leftover pizza. He turns that perfect crust into a sad, chewy sponge. Some people just don't get it.
