Worcestershire sauce did that for our meatloaf. My mom would make it with just ketchup on top, and it always tasted kind of flat. A friend suggested adding a few big glugs right into the mix, and it was like a different meal. It gives that salty, savory depth that was missing all along. Everyone jumps to add sauces like soy or Worcestershire, but that's just a band-aid. Jason_stone12's meatloaf might taste better now, but did anyone try fixing the base recipe first? Real home cooking doesn't need fancy tricks to be good.
