Bought a $12 bulb puller tool and it saved me 3 hours of untangling last week

I spent $12 on this little plastic bulb puller from Amazon and it pulled those stuck fairy light bulbs out without me snapping the wire or breaking the glass, has anyone else tried one of those or do you just use your teeth like I used to?

Honestly, I think you just have to be careful with the cheap ones. I grabbed a metal one from a hardware store for like $15 and it's held up fine for two seasons now. The plastic ones do feel flimsy, so I can see why your buddy's snapped. Tbh, if you're gonna keep doing the tooth method just make sure you're gripping the glass right like Paul said, but that micro fracture thing has me spooked.

My buddy bought one of those and it snapped on the third bulb he tried... ended up having to cut the wire anyway to get the broken plastic off. Seems like just another gadget that works perfectly in the Amazon review video but falls apart when you actually use it. I've pulled hundreds of fairy light bulbs with my teeth over the years and never cracked a single one, just gotta bite down gently on the glass part not the metal base. Plus now my dentist says I have micro fractures in my enamel from doing it too much so maybe I'm the wrong person to listen to. But seriously, I think these tools are a solution to a problem that didn't really exist until someone decided to sell plastic junk on the internet.
