Spent $40 on a smart plug for my old coffee maker and it's a game changer

I got a Kasa smart plug on sale and set it up to turn on 10 minutes before my alarm. Waking up to a hot pot ready to go is amazing. Anyone else use smart plugs for dumb appliances?

Oh man, a buddy of mine did the exact same thing with his old drip machine. He set it to start brewing right when his alarm goes off and he said it's the best thing he's bought all year. Only problem was he forgot to put water in it one night and woke up to a burnt coffee smell and a mess of dry grounds. Still worth it though once he got a routine down.
