My brother insisted I factory reset my phone for a battery drain issue
He swore it was the only fix after his Pixel 7 had the same problem last year, but after I did it and lost all my authenticator app codes, the drain was actually from a background location setting in my weather app. Has anyone else found a simpler first step before the nuclear option?

Ugh, that's the worst! I did the same thing for a Spotify bug once.

Remember resetting my phone for a weird app glitch last month. Deleted everything, reinstalled, and the stupid thing was still doing the same dance. Felt like such a waste of time.
