Appreciation post: my $150 smart plug setup is saving me way more than I thought

Everyone says smart home stuff is a waste, but I got four Kasa plugs on sale. I put them on my fish tank heater, a space heater, and two lamps. My electric bill in Portland dropped by about $25 last month just from the scheduling and away mode. Has anyone else seen real savings from something simple like this?

Yeah, that scheduling thing... my buddy did that with his gaming PC and a plug, said his power bill got way less scary.
