My client swore by using apple cider vinegar as a toner for a month

A regular at my chair in Tampa told me she'd been using straight ACV on her face for 30 days and her pores looked amazing. I was super skeptical about the pH, but she insisted. I gently suggested diluting it, but she was convinced. Last week, she came back with major redness and a compromised barrier. It took two calming facials with our hydrating serum to start fixing it. Has anyone else had a client try a wild DIY tip that backfired?

My aunt tried a lemon juice and baking soda mask she saw online, and it looked like she had a chemical sunburn for a week.

Remember that cinnamon challenge trend? My friend tried it as a face scrub and her skin was ANGRY for days.

Huh, I always thought cinnamon was just a harmless baking spice. I used to joke about people being too careful with natural ingredients. But I saw a video of someone trying a cinnamon mask and their face turned bright red and blotchy in like ten minutes. Guess I was wrong about it being mild. It definitely made me rethink grabbing random kitchen stuff for skincare.
