From my experience, moisturizer isn't a must for every oily skin client
I know it goes against common advice, but simplifying routines has cleared up acne for many. Let's not be afraid to challenge the norms lol.

I mean I was totally in that camp for years, always slapping on heavy moisturizer because everyone said oily skin needs it too. But my face just stayed sticky and broke out more. Cutting it out was scary at first, but just using a gentle cleanser and a light sunscreen actually balanced my skin way better. Idk maybe it's just me but sometimes adding less stuff lets your skin figure itself out.

Actually that approach can really backfire for some skin types. Stripping everything away might just signal your skin to produce even more oil to compensate. A light gel moisturizer could prevent that dehydration cycle without feeling heavy.

Patch test a new moisturizer on your jawline first to avoid full-face reactions. I learned that the hard way after breaking out from a popular gel lol. Once you find one that doesn't irritate, use it twice daily. Your skin should adjust and produce less oil over time, so don't give up too soon.
