Choosing between a hydrafacial and a regular chemical peel for a client with stubborn texture

A regular client came in last month with rough skin texture that wasn't improving with her usual routine. I had to decide between doing a standard 30% glycolic peel or trying a hydrafacial for the first time on her. I went with the hydrafacial because I thought the extraction and hydration steps would help more. Her skin looked way smoother after just one session, and she booked two more. Has anyone else seen better results with hydrafacials for texture versus traditional peels?

You mentioned that her skin looked smoother after just one hydrafacial. That's the main difference I've noticed too. A chemical peel works over days as the skin peels, so the result isn't instant. The hydrafacial gives that immediate smoothness from the physical exfoliation and extraction, which clients really love. For long-term change in stubborn texture, I still find a series of light peels builds collagen better. But for quick visual improvement, the hydrafacial is hard to beat.

Honestly it's just a fancy wash for your face. People get too caught up in the instant glow when a good scrub at home does similar stuff. Not worth the hype or cash in my book.
