Pro tip: That slight door sensor misalignment will cost you a service call
I was troubleshooting an elevator that kept stopping between floors last Tuesday. The issue was a door sensor barely off from its last adjustment, which I almost missed because the paperwork looked good. You know how it is, sometimes you trust the last guy's work too much. After fiddling with it, I started using a nylon insert lock nut on the sensor bracket instead of the standard one. Now it stays put through vibrations and temperature changes. It saved me a repeat visit to the same building this week. Such a tiny change, but my callbacks for sensor drift have dropped a lot.

Watched my buddy lose a whole afternoon to a wobbly limit switch on a conveyor belt last month. He finally copied your locknut idea after the third adjustment, lol. Some fixes are so stupid simple you almost miss them.

The downtown library log had the same sensor drift problem. @clairem81 nailed it with how frustrating these tiny issues are. I keep nylon lock nuts in my kit since they're cheap and prevent repeat visits. Marking the bracket with a paint pen after adjustment lets you see any shift right away.
