A call about a stuck elevator turned into a bird rescue mission

Got a call last Tuesday for a car stuck between floors at an old office building downtown. Opened the hatch and found a pigeon had gotten in and shorted the main control board with, well, bird stuff. The bird was fine, just mad. Spent an hour cleaning the board with contact cleaner and coaxing the pigeon out with a box. Anyone else had a job derailed by wildlife?

Looked like a regular passenger elevator to me.

That's a new one. My version of wildlife interference is usually a very angry chihuahua who thinks the clippers are a threat to national security. At least your pigeon didn't try to bill you for its time.
