Vent: I zapped myself fixing a neighbor's radio

Read an article once about how old tube radios can bite you even when unplugged. Those big capacitors in the power supply can hold a nasty charge for years, like a battery. Guy said he got knocked on his butt by a 1950s console he found in a barn. Your story about checking twice is smart, those old things are sneaky.

Ever use a resistor to drain those caps paulperry mentioned, saves the surprise later.
