Unexpected fix for my drifting game controller

Yesterday, my game controller began drifting a lot. I took it apart and saw dust around the joystick. Cleaning it with rubbing alcohol fixed the problem. I did not expect such an easy solution. Has anyone found similar quick fixes for other devices?

Hey @paigen52, that trick works but a lot of people don't know to hold the can upright. The liquid inside can freeze and wreck parts if it sprays out.

Actually, the liquid inside canned air is the propellant, and it's already a gas at room temp. The "freeze" happens because the gas expanding cools everything down super fast. So holding it upright mostly just keeps liquid propellant from spraying out, which is still good advice. But the real damage comes from the extreme cold on electronics, not from the liquid itself.
