Pro tip: That weird flicker on a 2018 Dell monitor took me three hours to find
Had a client bring in a monitor with a random horizontal line flicker. Figured it was a bad panel, easy swap. Checked the usual stuff first, power board, main board, even the cable. Nothing. Spent an hour on that. Then I noticed the flicker only happened when I tapped the stand. Took the whole thing apart. Found the issue way down at the bottom of the stand column. A tiny, cracked solder joint on the little board that holds the buttons. It was making contact until the stand vibrated. Fixed it with a quick reflow. Three hours for a joint I could cover with a grain of rice. Anyone else ever waste a morning on something that simple?

Ugh, tell me about it. I once spent an entire afternoon chasing a weird audio hum that turned out to be a bad ground in a headphone jack.

Ground loops are the worst, @phoenixgonzalez, a simple ground lift adapter can save you that headache.
