Wait, is this actually widespread or just one bad unit? Seen a lot of posts where someone mixes up modular cables or uses a cheap power strip, then blames the PSU. Got any specifics on which models or what actually happened to the devices? Without more info, it just sounds like panic.

Over on the PC building subreddit, someone posted about their EVGA PSU frying their motherboard. But @mark731, I've seen so many posts where folks mix up modular cables from different brands, then blame the unit. Honestly, unless there's a recall or tons of identical reports, it's probably just bad luck or user error. I mean, my old PSU lasted five years with no issues, lmao. People tend to jump to conclusions without checking the basics first.

But consistent reports point to a real quality control problem.
