What's with cable ties always failing at the worst moment? They feel designed to be frustrating on purpose. I've had so many snap right as they get tight, and untangling them wastes so much time. We're stuck with this bad system because it's cheap and everywhere. Really makes you wish for a simple, reliable fix.
Watched my buddy try to fix his bike rack with a cable tie last week. He pulled it tight, it snapped right at the lock, and the whole rack slid off and scratched his car door. He just stood there holding two pieces of plastic, totally defeated. That stupid tie cost him a paint repair.
