Tried a new trick for pulling wire through a tight 3/4-inch conduit run

I used a shop vac with a plastic bag over the hose to suck a pull string through, but the bag got sucked in and jammed the line. Anyone have a better method for a 20-foot run with two 90-degree bends?

Twenty feet with two bends isn't even that bad. A regular fish tape should handle it fine, they make them for a reason. People overcomplicate this stuff with shop vacs and bags. Just get a decent steel tape, maybe use a little wire pulling lube, and push it through. It's a basic task, not a plumbing emergency.

Heard about using a small foam ball instead of a bag, like the ones for kids' nerf guns. Might not get stuck as easy. Or just borrow a fish tape from a neighbor.

Did you try tying the string to a buckyball first?
