Talking to my plumber friend about conduit bends made me feel dumb

We were having a beer after a job and he said, 'You guys just bend that stuff like it's nothing, but I'd be lost without my pipe bender.' It hit me that I've been doing this for ten years and never really thought about how it looks to other trades. I always figured they had their own tricky stuff, but maybe we make it look too easy. Do you ever get that from other people on site?

Ha, tell him to try pulling wire sometime. We all have our own headaches.

Watched my buddy's face turn red trying to fish cable through an old wall. He almost threw his tools in the river.

Actually, pulling wire is the same thing as fishing cable. Just sounds more official when you say it. Both jobs can make you want to quit for the day.
