Honestly, I just wasted $120 on a cheap voltage tester that gave me a false reading on a job in Tempe last week.

Ugh, been there. My cheap one from the hardware store said a line was dead and it definitely wasn't. Scared me half to death.

My neighbor's cheap tester gave him a false reading too.

Used to grab whatever was on sale until @eva_garcia56's story. Now I just save up for a decent tool, it's a total game changer.
