Had a moment with a homeowner today that made the whole job feel different
I was finishing up a panel upgrade in an old house in Tacoma, and the owner, an older guy, was just watching me work. When I was tightening the last lug, he said, 'You know, I've been scared of that box for 30 years.' I told him it was all safe now and walked him through the new breakers. He just shook my hand and said, 'Thank you for making my home feel right.' Anyone else have a simple interaction that just stuck with you for the rest of the day?

What did he think would happen to the old box?

Used to be more in the "he probably knew what he was doing" camp, but stuff like this always makes me think twice. Honestly, it's a good reminder that I should probably triple-check things before I start messing with them.

Did he even check if it was empty first?
