Fixed a panel swap that had me sweating for 2 hours in a crawlspace in Houston last August

I misread the blueprints and landed a neutral on the wrong bar, had to backtrack through 40 circuits at 95 degrees with a headlamp and no backup, has anyone else had a service call spiral like that from one little mistake?

Got a neutral on the wrong bar" yep been there. I started snapping photos of every step with my phone before I disconnect anything, that way I can retrace without having to remember. Life saver in those tight spots where you're already losing brain cells to the heat.

Oh man, that is a great habit. It's funny how that translates to so many things, not just car work. I do the same thing now when I'm putting together furniture or even when I'm deep cleaning a room. You move one thing, then you have to move another, and before you know it you've forgotten where the original piece even went. Taking those pictures is like leaving yourself a trail of breadcrumbs. It's a simple trick but it saves so much time and frustration down the road.
