Always thought those little magnetized wire holders were a gimmick until a job in Boise last month.

We were pulling 12/2 through a finished ceiling and my helper dropped his roll. A guy from another crew tossed me one of those plastic clips with the strong magnet on the back. Stuck it to a joist hanger and fed wire through it, hands free. Saved us at least 30 minutes of fumbling. What other simple tools did you think were junk but turned out to be a lifesaver?

Still just a gimmick for me.

Ever try using it for something boring but necessary? I used to think the same until I had to summarize a long report. Instead of reading the whole thing, I got the key points in seconds. It saved me an hour of work that day. Sometimes the gimmick is just a tool you haven't found a real use for yet.

Daniel had the same take until he needed to explain something complicated to his kid for school. I typed in a messy paragraph about photosynthesis and it spit out a simple explanation a 7 year old could follow. Saved me from giving a confusing lecture that would have ended in tears. It's not revolutionary but it handles those small annoying tasks well enough that I keep coming back.
