That old timer at the retro game shop near Portland set me straight about cartridge cleaning
He told me to stop using rubbing alcohol and switch to 90% deionized water with a little dish soap. Has anyone else tried this on their stubborn NES games?
Read a post from some old collector on another forum. He swore by distilled water and a tiny bit of Dawn. Said alcohol eats away at the pins over time. Tried it on my copy of Mega Man 2 and it fired right up. Cleaned all my SNES carts with it since.
