Shoutout to the guy who told me to check behind grocery stores, not just apartment buildings
He was loading up his truck at 6am behind a Kroger in Phoenix. Said apartments just have old furniture and trash, grocery stores toss out good pallets and shelves. I drove by a Safeway the next morning and found four solid metal shelves, saved me like $60 at Home Depot. Anyone else got a specific type of place they swear by?

Yeah I don't know if I buy hype about office supply stores being some goldmine, @valthomas. I mean sure plastic bins are nice but how often are you actually going to need that many? I checked behind a Staples once and found a bunch of broken crap and a half busted filing cabinet. The grocery store thing makes more sense cause they're always getting shipments and tossing sturdy shelves. But let's be real, is hunting down used bins really worth the gas money and early mornings? I feel like people overhype this stuff just to feel like they're gamers.

Grocery stores are definitely the move, I grabbed a perfect metal shelf from behind a Fry's once.

My buddy swears by checking behind office supply stores after they restock. He found a stack of heavy duty plastic bins behind a Staples that were just gonna get tossed.
