Visited a coworking space in Portland and noticed everyone's monitor angles

I popped into this spot called The Desk downtown last Tuesday and almost every dual screen setup had one monitor tilted way vertical. Saw like 8 people coding or reading docs that way. You guys find vertical monitors actually help or is it just for looking busy?

Oh wait, pretty sure they call those portrait mode not vertical, but yeah I get what you mean. Actually helps a ton for coding since you can see way more lines of code at once without scrolling.

Wait @sam_anderson do people actually code on vertical monitors? That sounds insane.
