Spent 6 months with my secondary monitor just showing my desktop wallpaper before I realized I could keep Slack and email over there
A coworker glanced at my setup during a Teams call and asked why I had a giant picture of a mountain range next to my coding screen, and that's when it hit me how much wasted space I had been ignoring-anyone else have a dumb blind spot like that with their dual screen layout?

Did you ever stop and think what else you might have missed looking at that mountain so long? I had a similar moment a few years back when I realized my secondary monitor was set to a different resolution than the main one and all my windows were slightly blurry. I spent months squinting at text thinking my eyes were just getting old. Turns out I had the scaling wrong and everything was just a bit off. It took a friend visiting my desk and pointing it out before I fixed it. Made me wonder how many other little things I overlook day to day because I get so focused on one thing.

Heard a buddy talk about this exact thing once, @campbell.robin. He had a crooked picture on his wall for like two years and only noticed when he was packing to move out.
