Coworker laughed at my monitor arms until I tried his setup

I've been using those cheap clamp-on monitor arms I got on Amazon for like 2 years (you know, the $30 ones that wobble a bit). My buddy Dave in the IT office showed me his gas spring arms and told me mine were basically holding my screens up with hope. Have any of you made the switch from budget arms to nicer ones and noticed a big difference in how steady everything feels?

Oh man, I was the same way until I grabbed a gas spring arm on a whim. Totally changed my mind once I felt how solid everything stays.

Wait, @taylor.phoenix are you saying gas springs actually keep things from drooping?

Glad I'm not the only one who had that lightbulb moment. Picked one up for my monitor arm setup and it's been rock solid ever since, no more random sagging after a few hours. Honestly feels way more premium than I expected for the price.
